Hi-Definition Video Conference System

The Aethra Vega X7 is a truly high definition (720p) video conference system.  Fully ITU-T H.323 and H.320 compliance, and compatible with non HD systems from Aethra and other manufacturers.

The Vega X7 consists of a HD pan-tilt-zoom camera, a HD codec, a desktop wideband boundary microphone and a handheld remote control unit.  The X7 HD system has 3 HD inputs, 2 HD outputs, 4 non HD video inputs, 4 non HD video outputs and a PCMCIA slot for wireless LAN connection.

Supports the latest H.264 video coding for superior video quality and 14kHz wide band audio coding for true CD-quality audio.

Available in 2 versions: point-to-point and multipoint.

In point-to-point scenario, the X7 supports connection speed up to 4Mbps over IP connection, 512kbps using 4 ISDN BRI lines and 2Mbps using 1 ISDN PRI line.

The multipoint version of the Vega X7 is able to support multi site videoconference up to 9 sites (1 local & 8 remote) in total; with any combination of ISDN and IP based endpoints.  The MCU supports rate matching and transcoding to make possible best connection with all sites.  During the multipoint session there are 10 types of continuous presence video layouts. 

Other standard features of the Vega X7 are:

1. XGA input for direct PC connection, for presentation purposes during a videoconference session
2. H.239 dual video sending and receiving to allow users to view “presenter & presentation” simultaneously locally and at far end.  The 2nd video source is not limited to PC presentation only, it can be any video source.
3. Secure connection using embedded AES encryption up to 256-bit.
